the stupidest thing ever is on tv right now. it's a reality show of sorts, called solitary. the idea is that nine people are placed in solitary confinement. they don't ever meet each other, and their only interaction with anything is this computerised voice. they are put through emotional, physical, and terrible challenges. at the end of the day, the winner takes home $50,000.
it's all some social/psychological experiment because the contestants can personalise their cells, which offers the producers a glimpse into the contestants' psyches. it's all really stupid if you ask me. there are enough challenges in life, and to put oneself through this experiment is redundant. plus, all you get at the end of the day, if you survive, is fifty paltry thousand dollars. for the amount of torment they seem to put you through, it's barely compensation. it's terribly ironic that the voice refers to the contestants as "guests".
